Join the Battlefront 12!

We’ve picked 11 star campaigners for Battlefront 2010. This is your chance to become the 12th.

If you’re selected to be our 12th campaigner, you’ll spend the next few months shining online as your campaign journey unfolds and you may also appear in the massively brilliant Battlefront TV show. You’ll be given access to top-notch campaign experts for advice, massive big-ups across the site, and support from the Battlefront Team, who’ll be on the phone to you every week and coming to visit you at home to see how you’re getting on. You’ll also be eligible for a £300 grant to spend on sprucing up your campaign (no, a splurge in Topshop doesn’t count!)

To enter, you need to come up with a campaign idea – something you really feel passionate about - and tell us about it in the box on the right (along with a pic of your lovely face). There’s also a space to post a video link if you’ve got a cool vid to show us.

Entrants must be 14 – 21 years of age at the point of entry and a UK resident (and it you are under the age of 18 you will need to have the consent of your parent or guardian to enter).

How will the competition be judged?

Once you’ve entered, your campaign will join the contenders below. It’s then in the hands of the Battlefront community to vote for their favourites. After voting closes, the 10 campaigns with the most votes will then be presented to our panel of expert judges (from Channel 4, Raw TV and a special guest) to make the final decision. The entries will be judged (by our panel) on passion, commitment and potential to succeed as a campaign and the one which best fulfills this criteria will be chosen as the winner.

Timings

You’ve got until 12pm on 10th September 2010 to enter BUT the sooner you do it, the more time your campaign will have to notch-up votes! Voting closes at 12pm on 24th September 2010. Once the ten shortlisted entries have been selected, those ten finalists will then be contacted by us and we will request further information. The judging panel will then decide on a final shortlist from the ten finalists and entrants on this shortlist will be asked to undergo a Criminal Records Bureau check (CRB) and a psychological review (if you are under 18, both of these steps will have to be done with parental consent). After this process, the judging panel will decide on a winner and the winner will be contacted by telephone on 15th October 2010. If the chosen campaigner doesn’t accept the opportunity within three days of being contacted an alternative winner will be selected.

Voting

To vote for a campaigner you need to click on the vote button next to a campaign. You may only vote once per email address so use your vote wisely.

And in addition to battling it out to become our number 12, you can become a Battlefront campaigner on the site at any time by clicking on the Start Your Own Campaign tab.

Oh look, another votes @ 16 campaign. Yawn. But I entered with my avatar photo and some meaningless campaign to 'Free Parliament' by getting rid of party whips.
