Help make history - UKYP House of Commons event
On Friday 30 October 2009, elected Members of the UK Youth Parliament (MYPs) will make history when they sit on the green benches in the House of Commons and debate the issues that matter to young people from across the UK.
- But what are those issues?
- What is it that you care so passionately about?
- What do you want to see change?
The UK Youth Parliament needs to know what it is you want to hear debated by young people for young people. This is your opportunity to have your say, set the national political agenda, and make British political history. Every issue that is put forward will be added to a debate list.

The closing date for debate nominations is Sunday 6th September. Please email all nomination forms to hoc@ukyouthparliament.org.uk (hoc@ukyouthparliament.org.uk).
An on-line vote will then be held between Monday 15 and Friday 25 September 2009, to decide which of the issues the MYPs will debate. The five issues with the most votes being the ones that will be selected.
