Message from ING Media
---------------
In July 2009, ING MEDIA a PR and Communications agency based in Shoreditch London (www.ing-media.com) is 10 years old. To celebrate our anniversary we have decided to promote TEN TEENAGERS – for free! That’s right, we will take ten teenagers under our wing - from anywhere in the UK – and try to get the media interested in what they are doing.
Basically we think that teenagers get a raw deal in the media – most of you aren’t feral knife wielding maniacs – you’re just normal teenagers – a bit noisy and hormonal – but pretty good people for most of the time.
So tell us a positive story. What are you doing that is interesting, inspiring, exciting or off the wall?
Send us an email describing why you think that you are deserving of having your very own PR agency to help you along. Your email might be short or long but it might help if you answer these questions:
1. What City/town/county do you live in?
2. What sort of story do you have to tell? Is it related to the arts, music, business, school, the community, helping your family or friends?
3. Why are you different to the “media-teenager” that we are so often told about?
There are a few rules that we have to follow. If you are under 16, we will need your parents permission to be involved. We will ring them and ask them for a signed consent form. If we like your story, we will post it on a specially designed web-site. We may want you to provide pictures and video to help promote you. Again, we will have to get parental consent for this.
Just to be clear, we will be giving you our time and effort – no money will change hands. Also, the judges decision will be final. The deadline for applications is the 1st May 2009.
Email us today at tenteenagers@ing-media.com (tenteenagers@ing-media.com) or visit our website www.tenteenagers.com (http://www.tenteenagers.com/) where you can register your details.
